Educational Care

The Royal Humanitarian Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the educational opportunities of orphaned students it sponsors. This commitment aligns with the royal directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain, and is guided by the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian work and Youth Affairs. In addition to monthly sponsorships, the Foundation provides extensive educational support to foster academic excellence and contribute to societal progress. Various community partners also support these educational projects to benefit a broader range of students

The Foundation’s educational initiatives include

Scholarships

The Foundation offers 50 annual scholarships for orphaned students graduating from secondary school to pursue a bachelor’s degree at government universities, such as the University of Bahrain, Bahrain Polytechnic, and the College of Health Sciences

Must be a sponsored orphan of the Foundation.
Must be a graduate of the current academic year.
Cumulative average between 80% and 94.99%.
Must have been accepted into one of the following universities: University of Bahrain, Bahrain Polytechnic, or College of Health Sciences.
Cannot be receiving a scholarship from any other governmental or civil entity.

Transcript of grades for the sixth semester of secondary school.
Secondary school graduation certificate and equivalency certificate from the Ministry of Education (for private school graduates).
University acceptance certificate or registration balance.
Certificate of good standing from the Ministry of Interior.
Official document of the student’s bank account number (IBAN).
Recent passport photo.

Tamyoz Scholarship Program

This program provides additional scholarships to orphaned students (both sponsored and non-sponsored) for pursuing a bachelor’s degree at the University of Bahrain, Bahrain Polytechnic, and the College of Health Sciences, in collaboration with the private sector

Must be a Bahraini orphan and a recent graduate of the current academic year.
Cumulative average between 80% and 89.99%.
Must have been accepted into one of the specified universities.
Cannot have a scholarship from any other governmental or civil entity.
Family’s net income should not exceed 600 Bahraini dinars.
Admission is based on high school GPA, income criteria, seat availability, and support budget.

Copies of the student’s and parents’ smart cards (ID cards).
Proof of salary or a statement of non-subscription to insurance in case of unemployment or lack of pension for the widow
Official financial obligations if the guardian’s income exceeds 600 dinars.
Transcript of grades for the sixth semester of secondary school.
Graduation certificate and equivalency certificate from the Ministry of Education (for private school graduates).

Certificate of good conduct standing the Ministry of Interior (after initial acceptance).

Kindergarten program

This program allocates seats in kindergartens for orphaned children aged 4 years, preparing them for primary education, in collaboration with the private sector

Must be a sponsored orphan of the Foundation.
Must be 4 years old.
Cannot have received other kindergarten educational sponsorships.
Must secure a seat in a kindergarten.
Must continue studying for two academic years before entering primary school.
Availability of seats and supporting institutions.

Annual Ceremony for Outstanding

The Foundation hosts an annual ceremony to honor outstanding orphaned students, whether sponsored or not, who achieve academic excellence with a score of 95% and above, under the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs

Must be an orphan, either sponsored or non-sponsored.
Cumulative average of at least 95% for the current academic year.
University students must have completed at least 60 credit hours by the end of the second semester with a cumulative average of 3.5 or equivalent.

Certificate of academic completion for the current year.
Copy of the father’s death certificate if the student is not sponsored.
Official document of the non-sponsored student’s bank account number (IBAN).
Proof of credit hours completed for university students.

Private Schools and Universities

This initiative involves partnerships with private educational institutions to offer free seats or reduced tuition fees for orphans sponsored by the Foundation, both for new and continuing students

Educational Workshops and Training Courses

Offering workshops and courses for secondary school and university students from sponsored orphans and winners of scholarships and grants, to develop their skills, integrate them into the labor market, and educate them about university life skills
