Sponsorship of orphans and widows

The Royal Humanitarian Foundation offers comprehensive care to orphans and widows, addressing their material, living, health, psychological, and social needs with the highest standards of quality and professionalism.

To apply for sponsorship of an orphan or widow, please ensure you meet the eligibility requirements and provide the necessary documentation. Applications should be submitted through our electronic portal, with all required data filled out clearly and documents attached in high-quality, color PDF format.

Note: The service completion time refers to the time required to carry out the internal procedures for the request. Please note that the monthly sponsorship amount is transferred no later than the 28th of each month, after receiving the SMS notification of sponsorship eligibility.

Death of the father, or unknown parents, or unknown father.
The orphan must be Bahraini or have a Bahraini mother or father and reside in Bahrain.
Sponsorship is provided to the orphan until the age of 19 without the condition of continuing education, or until the age of 24 if the orphan continues school or university education.
Sponsorship is not available for orphans who are employed or married, Or divorced.
The family must not own more than one commercial registration and must have no other source of income.
The orphan's average income must not exceed the sponsorship threshold set by the organization.

The widow must have lost her husband.
The widow must be Bahraini or a foreigner married to a Bahraini, residing in Bahrain.
The family must not own more than one commercial registration and must have no other source of income.
The widow's average income must not exceed the sponsorship threshold set by the organization.

Copy of the religious ordinance document.
Certificate of the deceased husband's pension (if applicable).
Certificate of the widow's salary (if applicable).
Proof of rental income if the family owns commercial properties.
Documentation of any financial obligations (e.g., official bank loans, housing rent).
A recent school certificate for orphans proving enrollment for those over the age of 19 (if studying).
International Bank Account Number (IBAN) for both widows and orphans aged 18 to 24 years.
